Ørkenkjøtt has made quite a fuzz in the Norwegian metal scene, being considered as one of the highlights of the moment. The bands debut, Ønskediktet, was produced by Ihsahn & Starofash / Mneomosyne Productions and the duo states «Ørkenkjøtt has all the dynamic range and variety to make them interesting, but most importantly they have a clear vision. Ønskediktet is a conceptual album sung in Norwegian and the bands music is often described as alternative rock/metal. Ørkenkjøtt started in 2005, hailing from Notodden, Telemark. One month before the album was released it went #1 in the norwegian metal presale chart and on the day of release it debuted on the national chart. The band has received rave reviews and with almost 100 concerts played in the old country the band is ready to bring their «Ørkenrock» across Europe!
