The legendary Rachel Stamp formed in 1994 and took the rock world by storm with their brazen sonic-visual mix of glam rock, punk and avant-electronica. Releasing a brace of singles and two UK Independent top ten albums ('Hymns For Strange Children' and 'Stampax') the band toured relentlessly, both as headliners and as openers for Korn, No Doubt, Cheap Trick and Iggy Pop, building up a fiercely loyal fan base and dividing critics who either loved or hated them with a passion. In 2002 Rachel Stamp released their most acclaimed album 'Oceans Of Venus' which included the MTV hit single 'Black Cherry'. After successful tours of Europe and the USA the band took a hiatus until reforming in 2009 for a sell out show at the Islington Academy. David Ryder Prangley (vocals, bass), Will Crewdson (guitar), Robin Guy (drums) and Shaheena Dax (synthesizer) are now back together and writing for a new LP...
