Disarm Goliath are an exciting high octane heavy metal band hailing from the home of metal in the heart of the West Midlands. Formed by bassist Steve Surch the band have built up a good reputation on the underground rock/metal scene and have now become a formidable force. Influenced by the likes of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Saxon and Anthrax, Disarm Goliath write strong heavy metal songs and have a live show to match. The band released their first album 'Only The Devil Can Stop Us' in 2001 and then again on limited edition vinyl in 2007 (via hi roller records) which sold 500 copies. After a couple of key line up changes in 2009 the band released their second full length album 'Born to Rule' in April 2012. This release was the first to feature vocalist Steve Bell and guitarist Anthony Ellis. The album gained good reviews and the band landed a UK tour supporting Ex Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley, this helped to raise the DG profile and make them new fans. Also around this time the band opened up for White Wizzard, Soil and Fozzy which again helped the band to build on their growing fan base. Early in 2013 'Born to Rule' was released on limited vinyl this time via Pure Steel records and is currently selling well across Europe.
