Rats of Reality are a three piece dark, aggressive, blackened, heavy, thrash, crust-punk band from Aberdeen, Scotland. Initially started by James McBain (guitar and vocals) and Peter Barron (drums). After releasing a first (self titled) EP in July of 2014 with almost some acclaim and even a bit of moderate praise, they were surprised by ex-Obscenities frontman 'Clarkie' adding himself to their line up as bassist and all round general nuisance. Rats of Reality have made a name for themselves in various venues around Scotland by being quick at setting up, and not making that many noticeable mistakes.

They continue to make head way in the 'as successful as a local punk band can ever be' category, with new music on a constant basis and another gig always just around the corner.
