Just in case you missed the announcement last week Maltese Death Metal act Abysmal Torment announced they will be heading back to the UK in September.  Those of you who have caught this dual vocal act will know how brutal they are live, and for those of you who haven't yet caught their live act now is your chance.  Since their last visit they have hit so many european festivals and we for one are very excited they are coming back to our shores.  

This is a rolling joint headline tour with Greek act Inveracity who have been out of action whilst serving the mandatory military service but are now back with new material and heading to the UK for the first time since 2008.

Tasmanian tech-death metallers Psycroptic have just announced they are heading over from Australia for a european tour that includes several dates in the the UK.  The tour support comes from Italians Hour Of Penance and the UK's very own Dyscarnate.  Hour of Penance guitarist Giulio Moschini commented: “We’re extremely happy to tour again with our friends in Psycroptic and Dyscarnate and most of all to play again in Europe after the successful tour we did with Cannibal Corpse, Devildriver and The Black Dahlia Murder in February. For the first time, Hour of Penance will also play in Ireland! Be there!“

The tour hits the UK for 5 dates including dates outside England in Ireland, Scotland and Wales (promoters please take note, metallers don't just live in London!!)

At The Gates have been announced as the headliners for the Northern Darkness Festival taking place at Northumbria University on 8th December 2013.  They join the the international band bill with Decapitated, Graveworm, Hour of Penance and many more.  The festival will be run over three stages and also features a host of UK acts including Napalm Death, Desecration, Ingested, Bloodshot Dawn...

The good people at desertscene.co.uk have arranged a UK tour for the legendary New Orleans sludge band Eyehategod.  They areset to to return to the UK with The Gates of Slumber in July and August 2013.  The 2011 and 2012 UK dates were sold out with fans being turned away from the doors so we advise you to get tickets as soon as they go on sale (no on sale date confirmed yet).

Live Evil Festival is back for 2013!!! This festival was sorely missed in 2012 but is back for 2013 and moving to a bigger venue.  Check out our review of the 2011 edition day 1 and photos from day 2 to give you an idea of how awesome this festival is.  We can't wait to see what other bands they have lined up by October but guaranteed we'll be there, Midnight is enough to have us salivating.  Here is the offical press release with all the info available so far:
