Dragged into sunlight uk tour may 2013

Prosthetic Records' Dragged Into Sunlight have announced 5 UK dates for May 2013.  Special guest support on all mainland dates comes from Ashford's Bossk.

 

The dates are as follows:

24th May - The Pint, Dublin - support TBC

25th May - Birthdays, London - with Bossk, Dead Existence, and Astrohenge

26th May - Alter Ego, Macnhester - with Bossk and Iron Witch

27th May - Audio Glasgow - with Bossk and local support TBC

28th May - The Library, Leeds - with Bossk and Bong Cauldron

Bloody hell is it me or are alldayers getting cheaper and cheaper?  £4 (£5 on the door) is the price announced for the upcoming Sun Smasher alldayer put on by the good people at Scruffy Murphy's.  With 7 bands already announced and another band still yet to be confirmed, that's 50 pence a band!!

The Underworld is crusty at the best of times, but if there were a crust-o-meter system to measure the volume of beards, the essence of scraggly unwashed hair, the number of hoods up over baseball caps indoors and pairs of tight black jeans, tonight would surely be up there as some kind of new record. Seattle, Washington’s premier punk-thrashers Black Breath are in town to wreak havoc and destruction alongside a varied support bill of bands drawn from an equally gnarled darkness. One thing’s for sure, this ain’t gonna be pretty!

Conan/Dead Existence/Sea Bastard/Pus - Brighton Cowley Club - Saturday 21 January 2012

Right from the start, The Cowley Club sets itself off as a little bit different. Waiting at the heavy entrance door for the doorbell to be answered, you’d be forgiven for expecting a rendezvous with some kind of clandestine coalition. However, rather than being greeted by some malefic, cowled figure, we are instead invited in by a friendly doorman, the venue inside presenting itself as somewhere between a drop-in centre and a bookshop, offering no actual stage. Most crucially, the acoustics seem clear and the foundations suitably sturdy. Which is the biggest relief of all, as tonight’s line-up will test both to their limit.

Unfortunately, we arrive just in time to hear Pus winding down their set of twisted, hateful sludge. Living up to their name, the South Wales act seep diseased, down-tuned destruction from their crusty, open wounds. Monstrous howls and driving percussion pulsating amongst
