About

Devastating Enemy was founded in 2009. During the following year, the band not only recorded an 4-track EP 'The Gods of Reason', but also gained experience in playing live in front of national and international audiences.

In 2010 Devastating Enemy played at famous festivals like Metalcamp Slovenia, Hell over Vellach, Metalfest Austria, Walpurgis Metaldays as well as the Kaltenbach Open Air. Besides the bands experience in festivals, Devastating Enemy also supported numerous acts like Dagoba, Hackneyed or Callejon at their shows.

In November 2010 the band started the recordings on their full-length debut 'The Fallen Prophet' at Hinterhof Studios Vienna.
The album was released on March, 25 2011 worldwide via Twilight Distribution.

With the critically high acclaimed release of 'The Fallen Prophet' in March 2011, Devastating Enemy reached the next step in their young career.

In the following year the band played numerous big festival shows as well as club- and arena shows all over Europe. Those also featured their first headlining tour in June 2011 with their label-colleagues Through Your Silence. For further promotion of their latest release, Devastating Enemy shot a video for the song 'As Bloodshed Begins' and a second one for 'Buried in Oblivion'.

After the songwriting-process for their second album was finished, Devastating Enemy once more hit the road and joined The Demonic Alliance Tour which conquered Europe in September and October 2011. The line-up also featured Darkane and Destinity.

In December 2011 the band went back to studio to record their second full-length album, which definitely represents the next level of ModernMelodic Death Metal.
