It's not often you can plug in your headphones and listen to technical structures, mind blowing guitar work and piercing vocals all at once from a solo musician!
Yet ex Mishkin member Jimmy MacGregor has taken his touring experience and positive energy to create what can only be described as a spine tingling set of new tracks to form his debut solo record 'Found'.
After parting ways with Mishkin to pursue his solo career, Jimmy took it upon himself to build the foundations of his new project PTEROGLYPH which has seen fans flood the gates with open arms as he approaches new boundaries and portrays the creative mind of a genius as track after track lets you lose your mind in a world of progressive metal influenced masterpieces.
The new record recorded by Jimmy himself and polished off with mastering from Acle Kahney of Tesseract, is set for release during 2012 to meet demand and fill in fans on the path he has taken which has seen him writing his strongest material to date. The new collection has styling's similar to a combination of Devin Townsend soundscapes mixed with the metal aggressiveness of bands like Meshuggah and Sylosis.
With a backing band consisting of some of the North's finest metal musicians, playing efficiently and diligently under Jimmy's direction, the beginning of a new wave of hype is here as Pteroglyph is looking to succeed and conquer!
