Ed Mundell, a self-taught guitar player grew up in New Jersey as part of the early stoner rock scene.  A founding member of the band The Atomic Bitchwax he later joined Monster Magnet as lead guitarist in 1992.  to 2010. In the fall of 2010, Mundell left Monster Magnet to "collaborate with new producers, songwriters and musicians".

In 2011, it was announced that Mundell had formed a new project, "The Ultra Electric Mega Galactic", (THE UEMG), whose debut album released January 8, 2013.

Mundell's solo album, "Space Time Employment Agency" to follow mid 2013.

Ed Mundell actively contributes to various recordings and soundtracks as a studio musician in Los Angeles.
