As has many a grand British plan started, the foundations for Undergrowth were laid over a few pints of beer. Starting life as nothing more than a mere idea in March 2010, lead guitarist Liam Casey and rhythm guitarist Danny Glover laid the first few tracks mixing a desire for a heavy rock sound, with an groove that you couldn't help nod your head to.
Over the course of the back end of 2010 and early 2011, members Rob Kendrick (Drums), Lee Hunt (Bass) and Ste Kimmance (Vocals) completed the line up and brought the songs to life, a perfect mix of groove and grit.
With a settled line up, Undergrowths first port of call was to hit the studio to record a 3 track demo to whet peoples appetite for the sound. This was recorded at Blue Room recording studio in Bury by Phil Green in June 2011. The resulting 3 track demo was titled the "First Blood Demo"
Undergrowth rolled out to their first gigs in September 2011 to an impressive reaction and are not looking back.
