JEREMY IRONS AND THE RATGANG MALIBUS (Sweden) Playing for the very first time in London, Jeremy Irons and the Ratgang Malibus are a psychedelic four piece band from Eskilstuna, Sweden. Karl Apelmo (Vocalist/guitarist) , Micke Pettersson (guitarist), Viktor Kllgren (bassist) and Henke Persson (drummer) have released in April their new album, Spirit Knife, with Small Stone Recordings, following their two EP Elefanta and Bloom. Spirit Knife is, with their own worlds, the "deepest, darkest and most epic journey". Released 10 years after the original band formation, JIRM latest work, as enthusiastically reviewed by many, is a cosmic journey accompanied by the distinctive fashion of Karl's voice and howling guitars, flowing into a kaleidoscope of spaced out vibes. "Envision Jeff Buckley jamming with Can, and youメll have a fair gist of the fantastic voyage that awaits the armies of the Spirit Knife; an album that finds JIRM rekindling their timetraveling communion with vintage psychedelia and Krautrock, while expanding on the sonic palette revealed by the ensembleメs past fulllengths, Elefanta and Bloom." Hellbound.ca "Their songs are a wonderful journey through a world of sound that has been indeed created by bands such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, but JIRM have created their own kingdom in this world" Soul Seller Magazine "They sound so much larger than what you'd associate with a four piece group, enveloping and even overwhelming the listener just a bit" Ride With The Devil Music Blog https://www.facebook.com/JeremyIronsandtheRatgangMalibus http://www.jirm.se/ Spirit Knife (2014) Bloom (2011) Elefanta (2009) GOAT LEAF (UK) https://www.facebook.com/goatleaf In the bandメs own words: ムGoat Leaf are master builders of volume; their songs are carved from stone and born in the dark heart of South Yorkshire, yet speak the universal language of space, speed, love and murder. Their debut album ムColorsceneメ released in spring 2011 gained some very favourable reviews and a strong following across the UK and further afield with reviews in Germany, France and Spain. The band has always been at home up on the stage and with this release the boys gigged hard across the UK building on their growing following with headline and support slots. Most notably opening for Corrosion of Conformity in April 2011. In December 2012, Goat Leaf signed a worldwide distribution deal with Cargo Records London and on 28th January 2013 album number 2 ムA Lack of Oxygen Tales of Crashing Satellitesメ was released. This time the band was featured in Classic Rock, Metal Hammer, Power Play to name a few. In April 2013 the band headed out on the road with London rockers Zodiac & Black for a joint UK headline tour followed by a headline show in Amsterdam and a special guests slot at the 3rd annual DelRock festival in Belgium in August. September 2013 saw Goat Leaf head to Spain for their first shows there and their most successful tour to date. ムThey evoke the bluesy swagger of the finest 70メs rock band whilst adding a touch of Blue Cheerメs and MC5メs raucous garage rock, some of the Stonesメ loose grooves, punk rockメs snarl and some of stoner rockメs fuzzier tendenciesメ ムThere is nothing here not to loveナeveryone loves a good time and right here is the perfect soundtrack so buy it, invite some mates round, bust open a few brews and lose your shit kids!メ ヨ The Sleeping Shaman ELEPHANT TREE (UK) A combination of ballsy blues rock, heavy riffs and doom drenched drones. Elephant Tree are a new band, just about to start cutting their teeth in the London metal scene. Having moved down and taken in many many gigs and shows the guys have been influenced to start making their own music. Both hailing form the North of England. Jack and Sam came together through work and a mutual interest in anything musically heavy. Linking up with Pete of Trippy Wicked and Stubb heritage the sound started to develop further and by the end of the month the new demotrack was being recorded with sights set firmly on an EP in the near future. https://www.facebook.com/elephanttreeband https://elephanttreeband.toneden.io/ https://soundcloud.com/elephanttreeband
