Jackknife Seizure are a 4-piece progressive rock/metal band from London. With influences ranging from heavy rock and metal (Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Slayer) to the more progressive side of the spectrum (Mastodon, Tool, Opeth), they find themselves stunning audiences into seizure with their own powerful blend of inventive riffs and melodic hooks that bring stories of all sorts of dark creatures, sexual exploits, and evil to life.

Formed in 2008 by guitarist Mit and bassist Dave, the line-up wasn't completed until 2010 when Sylvy joined on drums. Gerry joined shortly after on vocals, and the band started rehearsing, writing, and demoing, playing gigs all over the capital and beyond.

In 2014, Jackknife Seizure earned themselves a place on the prestigious New Blood Stage at Bloodstock 2014, the UK's number 1 metal festival, playing on the same bill as CARCASS, DOWN, DECAPITATED, MEGADETH and many more. Their first feat of arms (a self-released, self-funded EP) will be released in the Autumn of the same year.
