Sumer have been together since October 2010 pushing their unique brand of alternative/progressive metal. They have played at several renowned venues already across the South East and the London including Camden Barfly and Hard Rock Cafe (London) alongside acts such as I Am Giant (Sony) and My Preserver.
In 2012 Sumer also went on to win the London regional final for the Hard Rock Rising contest by unanimous vote from the industry judges, including Starsailor frontman, James Walsh and The Guillemots frontman, Fyfe Dangerfield. (You can see what they said here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-MH0twYKMo ed. They might be indie but they still have taste ;) )
Likened to a heavy Radiohead circa OK Computer, Karnivool and Tool to name but a few discernible sounds. Sumer hold an easy integrity to their music and present themselves with an utterly passionate approach to live shows, losing themselves in the music.
"This is music to take you out of the space you're in and transport you away entirely." - James Walsh, Starsailor
Sumer are currently working on their first studio EP which is due to be released early 2013.
