About:
Ten years down the track and T.B.H.R. is still steadily evolving. Tribal influences are slowly permeating an irreversible change in T.B.H.R. who invite their audience to listen closely to their third studio album titled "People when you see the smoke, do not think it is fields they're burning".
Every recording is an exercise that shares the research for what might be their next sound, their next presence. The new album is as much a snapshot of the present, as a prediction for the future of the band.
Where Har Nevo (2013) promised a golden land, the path of its successor is not without trial. Har Nevo revealed a crossroad of possible directions, and in little more than a year T.B.H.R. moulded an answer. New directions have found their way into the music, telling us that the search may never be over.
The elements that bound Har Nevo together have been dismantled and restored. Born again in a more consistent ambient character that may in the end even replace the violent crash of cymbals and screeching distortion of guitars. The new album definitely marks an end of sorts, it is pointing towards something on the horizon, an image or a sound coming into being.
People when you see the smoke, do not think it is fields they're burning found its voice with the help of Stef Heeren (Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat) and Annelies Vandinter (Echo Beatty) and was recorded and mixed in January 2015 by Koen Gisen and mastered by Frederik Dejongh (Jerboa). The album will be published in Europe and the U.S. by 9000 Records and Smoke & Dust Records and in Japan by Tokyo Jupiter Records.
Working on a record for four years is a long time. In the meantime, TBHR started collaborating with the Church of Ra collective (Amenra, Oathbreaker and more Ghent legends), where they met a kindred vision and working method. During that period they played few live shows. So as not to lose focus. The hiatus was necessary and paid off in the end. HAR NEVO oozes with waiting, tiresome and disconcerting. Working patiently and endlessly towards an inevitable outburst.
