Evoken Roadburn 2011Evoken at Roadburn 2011

Tomorrow night, 23rd June 2013, the Boston Arms Music Room in London plays host to one of the most exciting gigs of the year (in our humble opinion).  Around 10 years ago New Jersey based Funeral Doom band Evoken finally made it to the UK to unleash their eagerly anticipated live show.  It was not meant to be though, and after being screwed over by the promoter the date didn’t go ahead. They played a stunning set at Roadburn Festival in 2011, and now, finally, we are able to witness them for the first EVER time in the UK for an exclusive London date.  If you haven’t checked out their latest album, “Atra Mors”, released last year on Profound Lore, or their classic “Antithesis of Light” then you are seriously missing out.

The promoters behind this are Funeral of Mankind who helped assist with the amazing Skepticism gig last year, and put on the annual Doom Over London festival, amongst many others, so the line up is nothing sort of spectacular.  London death doom act Indesinence, Spain’s Evadne and Germany’s Ophis complete the full line up.

Due to closure of the Northern tube line the gig will have early doors and finish to insure everyone can get to see all the bands without travel issues.  More info can be found on the fb event page here with travel details about replacement buses.
