We came, we saw, we banged our heads.  From an initial rain soaked arrival at Donington Park the weekend ended up a fairly sunny and fun 3 days of beer and music, but more importantly an AMAZING set from Iron Maiden. From the initial Spitfire flyover and Moonchild to an encore of Aces High, The Evil That Men Do, and Running Free it was an amazing 2 hours of music showing they STILL have it in spades, Phantom of the Opera was phenomenal.

A surprise announcement was made during their set that they would be returning to England at the end of their current Maiden '88 European tour to play the O2 Arena on Saturday 3rd August 2013.  Better still is they are insuring the REAL fans will be able to get tickets...

Australian's Thrash Death band Vomitor have announced the "Satan's Escalation" European tour, and are set to return to our shores this July.  The band's latest album "The Escalation" was released last November and you can order it hereon LP from the tour promoters Invictus Productions, and check it out below on bandcamp.

California traditional metal act White Wizzard have announced a string of UK tour dates in support of their new studio album "The Devils Cut".  The album is due to be release on June 25th 2013 and can be pre-ordered from the Earache Records webstore on CD/LP here.

Hammerfest is set to return to Hafan Y Mor Park in North Wales between 13th and 16th March 2014.  The first round of band announcements brings in heavyweight thrash acts Kreator and Overkill, along with Soilwork, Unleashed, Enthroned, Paragon, Grand Magus, Earthtone 9, Breed 77, Annihilated and Gravil.  Already they are down to their last 10 VIP rooms.

Icelandic metallers Skalmold have been added to the September/October 2013 UK tour with Finntroll and Tyr.  The band who's latest album "Born Loka" came out on Napalm Records in October 2012 will be supporting on the UK and European dates.  This follows their performance at this year's Eistnaflug festival taking place in Iceland between 10th and 13th July.  The UK dates for Finntroll/Tyr/Skalmold are as follows:
