'Kin Hell Fest happened in April this year, and the line up was quite frankly ridiculous.  We were already tied up with Desertfest (damn these clashes that keep happening!) and whilst Desertfest was more fun than we could have ever asked for, we were still extremely jealous of the people North of the wall having such an amazing line up (please next year make sure they don't clash!!).  

According to the organisers "the fest went awesome actually, the atmosphere, bands, setting was all spot on", however there were some unexpected costs and they've lost a fair bit of cash.  So to make up for it they have asked friends in bands to contribute and, well, they have some rather special friends it would seem. Together bands have contributed EIGHTY TWO tracks to a fund-raiser compilation that you can now download for a mere £4.00...

 Brighton based War Wolf start their UK (well, England) tour today in Bristol.  The 3 piece featuring ex members of Dopefight and Oli from Sea Bastard take their live show to 7 venues across England with a variety of local supports.  You can catch them at the following venues:

Got an email from Starjack Entertainment, the good people that run Full Moon Dog Festival confirming the line up for this year and that tickets are on sale.

The event will take place at The Cockpit in Leeds on Saturday 12th October and the line up is...well, pretty damn astounding, take a butchers:

The Exhumed UK tour kicked off tonight in Bristol with loads of upcoming dates including an alldayer this Saturday in Dublin.

Support for the whole tour comes from Seprevation with local acts added to the bill on each of the dates.

NINJAFEST 2013... BACK FROM THE DEAD 

Putting on its first edition in 2002 at The Dome in North London, Ninjafest became a European Hardcore staple over the next six years. From its humble beginnings as a two-day festival headlined by Heaven Shall Burn and Liar, the two girls behind Ninjafest – May and Rachel – took their idea of starting an annual hardcore festival in the UK and turned it into the unmissable yearly party it eventually became.

Following on from a quite alarming but funny thread on the Metal Hammer facebook there was an abnormal amount of people commenting about how many bands they didn't know on the Desertfest line up. We figured it was about time we posted up one of our regular festival/gig preview pieces so you can check out all the bands in one place. First up is the Human Disease Promo/When Planets Collide stage which features on the Sunday in the Underworld. North of the Wall Festival is a new festival concieved last summer with the idea of helping promote the Scottish metal scene.  The whole festival is being run non-profit purely for the love of metal and hoping to help the local scene in Glasgow.  With the announcement of the Edinburgh legends Holocaust we thought we'd give you a preview of all the bands now confirmed for this exciting new installment in the Scottish metal calendar.  North of the wall festival is on 13th April 2013 at the Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow.  Tickets are on sale priced at £15.00 and more info can be found on the official site here.

This Saturday the Electrowerkz is host to a black/extreme metal alldayer brought to you by Aeon Promotions in association with Nazgul Agency.  With so many bands on the bill we though it wise to present you with a preview piece to check out all the bands making up this huge bill priced at a bargain £14.50.
